Application and characteristics of castables
I. Product characteristics
1. Good high temperature resistance: The refractoriness of castables is usually above 1300℃, and they can maintain stable performance under high temperature conditions.
2. Thermal shock resistance: Since
castables have high thermal shock resistance, they can resist thermal expansion and contraction in high-temperature equipment and improve the service life of equipment.
3. Castability: The castable has good fluidity, which is convenient for casting and maintenance in furnace body, furnace bottom and other parts.
4. Adhesion: The binder in the
castable can form a high-strength adhesion at low and high temperatures to ensure stability after casting.
II. Construction precautions
1. The casting surface of the mold used should be coated with a layer of engine oil.
2. When stirring the castable, remove all foreign matter in the machine. Clean water must be used and the amount of water added must be strictly controlled. The stirred material should be used up within 30 minutes.
3. Use a vibrating rod or vibrator to vibrate, and every corner should be vibrated. The density of the castable is based on the absence of bubbles and the generation of honeycombs and holes.
4. The
castable should be prevented from bursting, peeling, etc. caused by rapid temperature rise during the furnace baking process.
